January was a great start for us at KIP Protocol. And in February, we have amped up the pace even more. We forged multiple key strategic partnerships, appeared in a few big AMA sessions, and saw a big jump in the size of our community. We also gave a sneak preview to the launch of our first-ever KIP dApp, KnowledgeFi.xyz.
Let’s take a closer look at what we have accomplished in the eventful month of February:
1. KIP Protocol Partners with Particle Network
KIP Protocol and Particle Network have teamed up to enhance user experience in decentralized AI. This collaboration integrates Particle Network’s Modular Smart Wallet-as-a-Service for account abstraction (AA) into KIP, enabling user-friendly pay-per-query AI dApps and low-gas fee transactions.
By leveraging Particle Network’s AA components, KIP enhances the user experience, becoming the first AI protocol to adopt a fully emulated AI pay-per-query transaction system within a blockchain setting.
Together, we accelerate user adoption across the blockchain-connected AI ecosystem, delivering innovation and accessibility in decentralized technology.
2. KIP Protocol Partners with SFT Labs for Digital Property Rights
Teaming up for innovation, KIP Protocol and SFT Labs are pioneering decentralized AI asset ownership, empowering users with digital property rights. Through the adoption of the ERC-3525 standard, KIP Protocol users gain control over their models, apps, and data via Semi-Fungible Tokens (SFTs), a groundbreaking move in the decentralized AI landscape.
This partnership signals a shift towards establishing AI digital property rights, placing control of Knowledge Assets firmly in the hands of creators.
3. Unpacking KIP Protocol with Defi Racoons
DeFi Racoons hosted an insightful AMA session featuring KIP Protocol’s co-founders, CEO Julian Peh, and Chief AI Officer Dr. Jennifer Dodgson. The session provided a deep dive into KIP Protocol’s mission, methodology, and unique features, attracting over 1,900 attendees.
Discussions ranged from the “why” behind KIP Protocol to the intricacies of its implementation, offering participants a comprehensive understanding of the platform’s innovative approach to decentralized AI.
Julian Peh shared:
“Everyone who’s ever posted anything on Twitter have (inadvertently) contributed to train large language models…”
“…and the behavior of some centralized AI companies are now turning extremely nasty and monopolistic.”
And in response to this, Dr. Jennifer Dodgson illuminated that:
“The idea is to allow anyone, not just a huge corporation, to make their own little GPTs and make it available closed source or open source, whichever they prefer. That way we break down the silos between three sets of major contributors to AI development.”
4. AI Project Spotlight AMA with Ice
KIP Protocol participated in an engaging AI Project Spotlight AMA hosted by Ice, featuring insights from CEO Julian Peh and Chief AI Officer Dr. Jennifer Dodgson.
With over 1,000 attendees, the session delved into KIP Protocol’s pioneering approach to decentralized AI, exploring its key features and contributions to the AI ecosystem.
Julian Peh stated:
“What we are trying to do is come up with a framework that allows three categories of AI value creators to do their work in a decentralized fashion…”
“It’s not about decentralizing just for the sake of it. Rather, it’s about (1) unlocking your digital property rights within your work, and (2) having the ability to monetize so that you can continue doing that work”
Dr. Jennifer Dodgson highlighted:
“We believe that the key to fostering creativity in the AI sector is to promote free collaboration, which in turn facilitates free competition among creators”
“If I have a great model and I can easily integrate it into a set of pre-existing APIs and payment systems for others to connect to their apps and offer to customers, then what was once a hobby can now become a business. It’s like the eBay of AIs.”
5. KIP Protocol Joins Google for Startups Cloud Program
We’re thrilled to announce our participation in the Google for Startups Cloud Program, a partnership that opened up a wealth of resources and opportunities to advance decentralized AI and empower app owners, model owners, and data owners.
Through collaboration with Google Cloud, KIP Protocol aimed to leverage cutting-edge tools and technologies to drive innovation and empowerment in the decentralized AI landscape.
6. Mahjong Session AMA with Pukecast
We were honored to participate in a Mahjong Session AMA, RWA Talks, hosted by Pukecast. Our Chief AI Officer, Dr. Jennifer Dodgson joined the discussion, shedding light on critical challenges in AI. She highlighted:
“Scaling is a real issue in AI. You have to be huge or you can’t get started—at least not on a commercial basis.”
“We want to provide connecting points. If you have a model you can link up with apps that want to use it, or datasets to train and improve the models, or even with those having GPU capacity who want to invest and, in return, receive a share of the profits.”
“…in doing so, we’re reducing the steps between non-commercial and commercial AI.”
The event attracted significant attention, with over 5,000 people tuning in to engage and learn about the future of decentralized AI.
7. Our First-Ever dApp Is Coming Soon
Our CEO, Julian Peh, has offered a sneak peek into the upcoming launch of its first-ever dApp, KnowledgeFi.xyz. Stay tuned for more updates as we prepare to unveil this innovative platform to the world!
