- In October 2024, KIP’s co-founder Julian Peh met with President Javier Milei to outline how KIP's decentralized AI technology aligns with Argentina's vision to become a global tech hub. The duo discussed technical infrastructure enabling AI sovereignty, educational content catalyzing new job creation, and advanced AI applications targeted at tertiary educational institutions.
- KIP Protocol in January 2025 joined the Blockchain Committee of the Buenos Aires City Government at the invitation of the government. KIP’s contributions to the Committee promote the skilled implementation for governments of decentralized AI.
Julian and the KIP Protocol team are enthusiastic about building on the public support expressed by President Milei for the deployment of decentralized AI solutions in Argentina. “This strategic alliance with UTN enables KIP Protocol to continue on our quest in Latin America to integrate ethical AI with higher learning and governments,” Julian said.
KIP Protocol’s focus on decentralizing AI highlights the importance of universities and governments taking proactive stances on artificial intelligence to protect data sovereignty and ensure that AI produces locally positive results. The KIP team and community are on a mission to decentralize AI using blockchain, for the benefit of the many rather than the few. Designed initially for developers, AI model owners, and application builders, KIP enables anyone to deploy and monetize AI assets in a secure, transparent, and decentralized environment.
The National Technological University at Buenos Aires sponsors the Blockchain and Fintech Center and an Artificial Intelligence and Robotics Group, both of which will facilitate the collaboration with KIP.
Stay tuned—more to come as KIP and UTN.BA collaborators define and begin to execute specific high-impact initiatives.
