We recently kicked off two big initiatives: the Genesis NFT Pass mint and the KIP100x Soulbound Token (SBT) airdrop. Both events are key parts of KIP's plan to reward our community and make participating more fun and worthwhile.

Genesis NFT Pass Mint: A Two-Stage Success Story
The Genesis NFT Pass was all about giving back to the community that's been building KIP up from the start. The mint event was structured in two main parts, each tailored to maximize fairness and reward the most involved members of the KIP community.
The minting process began on April 29th, 2024, and was segmented into different phases to accommodate participants based on their previous engagement levels with the platform:

Stage 1: Guaranteed Allocation
This initial phase, held between 13:00 and 16:00 UTC, offered 1,788 NFTs on a guaranteed allocation basis. This phase targeted early supporters of the protocol, providing them with an assured opportunity to mint their NFTs. The mint was hosted on the Ethereum blockchain and was free of charge, requiring participants only to cover the gas fees associated with their transactions.
How it went down:
- When? April 29th, from 13:00 to 16:00 UTC
- What? 1,788 NFTs were up for grabs for those with guaranteed slots, ensuring that early birds got their worms.
- How? Totally free, aside from those pesky gas fees on the Ethereum blockchain.
Stage 2: Tiered Leaderboard Allocation
Following the guaranteed allocation, the event transitioned into a more competitive tiered leaderboard allocation.
This stage was designed to reward active community members based on their contributions and standings within the KIP community. It started at 16:00 UTC and was structured in a first-come, first-served manner across multiple phases, concluding with a public sale at 17:00 UTC for any remaining NFTs.
How it went down:
- When? Kicked off right after Stage 1 on April 29th
- How it worked? Divided into bite-sized phases that dished out NFTs based on participants' leaderboard rankings:some text
- Phase 1 at 16:00 UTC for the top 10% + Task-On winners
- Phases rolling out every 15 minutes up to a public sale at 17:00 UTC if any were left.

KIP100x Soulbound Token: A Lifetime Badge of Honor
While the NFTs were flying off the virtual shelves, we airdropped the KIP100x Soulbound Token (SBT) directly into eligible wallets on the Base blockchain. This token is like a digital medal for KIP's most active supporters – one that symbolizes the user's accomplishments and loyalty to the platform.

Note: A Soulbound Token (SBT) is a unique form of NFT that serves as a digital identity or badge that is non-transferable (i.e., non-sellable). As a KIP100x SBT holder, it is a token that you can neither buy nor sell, but one that you have earned and will be tied to your wallet in perpetuity.
