January was a whirlwind of a month for us at KIP Protocol. From the launch of our first community campaign to the successful close of our strategic round, it set the tone for the momentum that will be building up ahead of our full launch in the next few months.
As the start of the year drew to a close, let’s take a look at what we have achieved in this past month:
1. KIP Protocol Closes Strategic Funding Round Led by Animoca Ventures
Amidst a flurry of anticipation and enthusiasm, our strategic funding round closed successfully, led by Animoca Ventures. This milestone marks a pivotal moment in our journey towards building secure and gas-efficient Web3 infrastructure, empowering AI creators to deploy their work while retaining full ownership and control.
With the backing of Animoca Ventures and a diverse consortium of investment DAOs, community leaders, and funds from around the globe, including B.Army (Vietnam), CSP DAO (EMEA), MQdao, Spicy Capital (Latin America), Skyvision Capital (HK), and Purechain Capital (UK), we’re poised to revolutionise the AI landscape through decentralisation.
Set for Q1/Q2 2024, the debut of the inaugural dApp on KIP Protocol marks the threshold of an energetic business ecosystem teeming with independent AI apps, models, and knowledge bases.
2. Our First Ever AMA with Lightcycle, Hosted by Bybit
At the height of rapidly rising interest in the intersection of crypto and AI, KIP Protocol’s Co-Founder and CEO, Julian Peh, took centre stage at the Lightcycle AMA Digital Parallel Universe Carnival. This engaging event provided a platform to delve into the future trends shaping the crypto market for 2024, with Web3 x AI being one of the key narratives.
With over 1,000 participants joining the event, the AMA highlighted the immense potential that lies ahead for investors and builders in the Web3 x AI space.
3. SFT Labs Summit
At the SFT Labs Summit, we seized a valuable opportunity to tackle key challenges hindering AI decentralisation and champion enhanced connectivity, revenue sharing, and ownership rights within the industry.
Our Co-Founder and CEO, Julian Peh, shared deep insights into how KIP Protocol’s multilayered technology paves the way for universal participation in decentralised AI. Invited to speak at the SFT Labs Innovation Summit, Julian shared invaluable perspectives on leveraging ERC3525 and spearheading transformative advancements in the AI sector.
4. Launch of Our First Community Campaign
In January, we launched the Genesis Campaign – our first-ever community campaign – rallying the Web3 community around a shared vision of decentralised AI. Through Activation Tasks and Cycle Challenges on Galxe, participants earned points, all vying for access to the soon-to-be-dropped NFT Blind Box.
With over 18,000 participants spanning 7 cycles, the Genesis Campaign epitomises the spirit of collaboration and engagement driving KIP Protocol forward.
